Sing with Us
The Newburyport Choral Society enthusiastically welcomes new singers to our music family! Singers range from high school age to adults and the only requirement for membership is a love of singing, commitment to learning the music, and a willingness to support the success of the chorus in any way that you can. The Fall season begins in early September and the Spring season begins in early January. Want to check it out? Attend the first two rehearsals with no obligation. However, please fill out the MEMBER INQUIRY form (see button below) to confirm your participation with our Membership Director.
As an active member you will experience:

● an expansion of your musical horizons
● the warm camaraderie of our chorus members
● satisfaction from contributing to the arts and culture of our community
NCS’ 1st & 2nd rehearsal of the spring semester are:
January 14, 2025 @ 7:15 p.m.
January 21, 2025 @ 7:15 p.m.
What To Expect
Rehearsals are held weekly at the Belleville Congregational Church, 300 High St, Newburyport, MA 01950.
The 2024 Winter Concert will be held at the Rupert A. Nock Middle School (70 Low St, Newburyport, MA 01950). Be sure to subscribe to NCS’ mailing list for up-to-date concert information.
The Annual Meeting and other special events are held at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church & Nicholson Hall, 7 Harris St, Newburyport, MA 01950.
2024 Winter Season Membership Dues: $85 ($80 for seniors age 65+) + Two Mandatory Tickets ($55) + sheet music ($50-55)
Students are eligible for full scholarships!

"We Sing"
Program for Students
The NCS “We Sing” Program supports performances by young singers.
This includes The Greater Newburyport Children’s Chorus (GNCC) led by Gina McKeown.
NCS also invites local high school students to perform major choral works with NCS.
Community Service Internship
NCS offers high school students an opportunity to sing with the chorus as part of their community service requirements for graduation.
